Onion sauce
1/2 onion
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon sake
1/2 tablespoon vinegar
Optional
1 tablespoon red wine
Wasabi (Japanese horseradish) As desired
Preparation
Take roast beef meat out of the refrigerator for 1~2 hours and let it come to room temperature.
Brush the meat with salt, pepper, and grated garlic, blend, and wrap tightly in plastic wrap for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan and cook the meat for 1 minute on each side for 4 sides and 30 seconds on each end for a total of 5 minutes.
Remove the meat from the pan and place the sliced onion on top of the meat, add the sake, and steam the meat.
Remove from heat and wrap the meat in aluminum foil. Wrap the meat in a cloth to keep it warm.
Keep the juices in the pan and make onion sauce with sugar, sake, red wine if available, soy sauce, vinegar, and chopped onion.
Slice the meat into thin slices and arrange the vegetables on top.
